speaking of the mercury prize ..my money goes on Thom Yorke ..just enough street cred ..and out there artyness to get the arty types to feel they are at the cutting edge of new music ...see the Times journalist feel smug ..and listen to the torygraph ..oops telegraph say how they always thought he was a classic star blah blah blah...mind you have discovered that I still hate Jazz....always sounds like a piano with the rest of the accompanying insts being thrown down a spiral staircase to me.
